Every Sunday night, we share family dinner with 11 people in four locations. It’s a connection of our souls.
Fun. Frivolity. Fanciful imaginations.
I spoke of David Attenborough’s “A life on our planet.” How profound it is. More than a catalogue of human impact, Attenborough offers ways to fix our biggest problems. We can fix climate change by “rewilding the planet.” Rebuilding our biodiversity.
My brother David says, “We’re fighting two diseases right now. COVID and stupidity.”
“We can’t fix stupidity,” I say.
“No. You can’t.” says Dave “but, Charles Darwin wrote a book on it.”
Dave’s right. The shortest version of Darwin’s book is “Those who don’t adapt, die.”
So, how fanciful is it we’ve learned of Nature’s adaptation, yet continue to ignore Her rules?
How fanciful is it we seek diversity at work, yet remove biodiversity that gives life?
How fanciful is it we’ve created a systems science that rarely counts in leadership tuition?
What leaders count, counts.
My next webinar, Value Counting Value, is on Thursday 22 October at 10:30am (AEDT)
I’d love you to join in: www.drrichardhodge.com/webcast. If you’d like to be there but cannot make this time, please register and we will share a link to the recording for you to enjoy in your own time.
The future emerges from what we each do now.
